Who owns the CCC?
The CCC is a not-for-profit, tax exempt organization whose purpose is to construct, maintain and operate a building to benefit the community members in and around the Wellington and Napoleon Missouri area. The CCC is “owned” by the community members who take advantage of the programs and activities offered there.
Who operates and manages the CCC?
The CCC has a voting membership, open to all area community members, which meets once a year in an annual meeting to make decisions regarding the CCC. The voting membership also chooses a Board of Directors to manage the day-to-day and overall mission of the CCC. This group of 9 community members is responsible for carrying out the wishes of the voting membership.
Just as volunteers and community members have played a substantial role in the CCC to date, they will continue to play a large role in the future success of the facilities programs, activities and partnerships. The CCC is an organization and building is run ENTIRELY by VOLUNTEERS.
